Espresso Chocolate Chip Brownie Cookies
Hey guys! So, a few weeks ago, I bought cake flour instead of all-purpose flour for the first time and decided I wanted to experiment with it a bit. I've been wanted to make some espresso chocolate chocolate chip cookies for awhile now, so that's what I set out to do, except I substituted in cake flour instead of all-purpose flour. I noticed adding cake flour to the recipe gave the cookies a soft, dense, brownie-like texture to them, so that's what I'm calling them: Espresso Chocolate Chip Brownie Cookies. These cookies have a deep cocoa flavor to them reminiscent of dark chocolate and a subtle coffee taste that really enhances the…

Coffee & Maple Syrup Glazed Turkey Bacon Recipe
A few weeks ago I bought a bottle of 100% Organic Maple Syrup for the first time - and it was an eye-opening experience. I'd never had the real stuff before and I fell in love with the subtler sweetness, not as overpowering as the fake stuff I've been using, and the just all over more mellow, natural taste. My first mind-blowing taste of simple, all natural maple syrup is what inspired the recipe I can't wait to share with you guys today: Coffee & Maple Syrup Glazed Turkey Bacon.

Cafe Mocha Nightcap Recipe
One of my favorite things to do during the cold winter months is to add hot chocolate mix to my coffee and make a kind of improvised Cafe Mocha. The Cafe Mocha Nightcap recipe I want to share with you guys is essentially just making a rich hot chocolate and adding a shot of coffee booze, but it's perfect for cozy winter nights around the fire, alone or with company. Its rich and decadent tasting, with a nice boozy kick, and, once again, super easy to make! (You may be noticing a pattern here - I'm a big fan of simple recipes with minimal ingredients).

Making My Own Coffee-Infused Vodka
I've really been having a blast playing around with coffee lately. With the holiday season coming up so soon, I thought it might be fun to try making some coffee cocktails. I decided to begin by making my own coffee-infused vodka. If you aren't aware, it's apparently all the rage to infuse your own vodka with all kind of fun things like fruit and spices and COFFEE - and here I am jumping on the bandwagon just in time to make some seasonal cocktails.

Homemade Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free Pumpkin Spice Creamer
Fun little factoid about moi - Â I am lactose intolerant. Despite this, I still tend to indulge in creamer in my coffee and just live with the side effects. Recently, I decided to try getting away from that and so I set out to start getting dairy-free creamer, but the array of flavors was sadly lacking, so I decided to make my own. I figured "how hard can it be?", get some non-dairy milk (coconut in this case), some pumpkin puree, and some pumpkin spice and throw it together. It ended up being a little more difficult than that, but through some trial and error I found a recipe that…

DIY Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate (with step-by-step pictures!)
With highs still in the 90's where I live, iced cold brew coffee is perfect for these sweltering afternoons and muggy evenings. If you've never tried cold brew coffee, it's got a smoother, milder taste than traditionally brewed coffee and actually packs more caffeine per cup. I love this cold brew coffee concentrate because it's so cheap and easy to make, not to mention super versatile. It's a concentrate, so you simply dilute it to taste by adding  ice, water, and/or creamer to get it just the way you like it for a delicious cold coffee drink or you can dilute it and heat it up to make hot coffee with a more…
