It’s pretty much a universally established truth that from themed-drinks to heart-shaped donuts, nobody does Valentine season quite like Dunkin’. In the spirit of the holiday, Dunkin’ franchises and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation teamed up to spread the love to over 30 children’s hospitals and youth-based charitable organizations nationwide with more than 300 dozen heart-shaped donuts and $45,000 in Dunkin’ gift cards. Starbucks is investing around 500K and partnering with local companies, non-profits, and organizations in an effort to address the chronic homelessness crisis in their hometown of Seattle. Learn more about their community efforts here.
On February 18th, Dutch Bros celebrated their 16th annual Dutch Luv day by donating $1 from every drink sold to local food banks. Dutch Luv Day was started in 2007 as a canned food drive and has grown to raise over 2 million for local non-profits, raising $537,983 last year alone – enough to serve 1,613,949 meals for local organizations.
Hostess is expanding their donut line with new Hostess Boost Jumbo Donettes – coffee flavored donuts that come in two flavors, Chocolate Mocha and Caramel Macchiato, and contain 50-70 milligrams of caffeine each, slighting less than the 95-100 milligrams in a cup of coffee. The donuts have a suggested retail price of $2.49 and should be available in convenience stores nationwide sometime this month.
